It took 18 months from our election to pass an employment rights act partly due to the ponderously slow process of the Lords.

The Employment Rights Bill received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025, becoming the Employment Rights Act 2025. Measured from the general election on 4 July 2024 that is about 17-18 months, and its final passage involved prolonged 'ping-pong' with the House of Lords. The '18 months' claim is accurate.

When the evidence is not enough, the result is “Unverifiable”; no claim is marked as unconfirmed without a primary source cited.
