Michelin a annoncé le 28 mai 2026 jusqu'à 1500 suppressions de postes en France (près de 9 % des effectifs français, arrondi à 10 %), sur départs volontaires d'ici 2029. Le groupe a versé 948 M€ de dividendes en mai (proche du milliard cité) et a bien annoncé un programme de rachat d'actions pouvant atteindre 2 milliards d'euros sur 2026-2028. Le seul point imprécis est "10 %" (réellement environ 9 %).
