[Labour MPs voting] to remove half a million children from poverty... after hundreds of thousands were plunged into poverty by the party opposite.
Government and Resolution Foundation analysis estimates that scrapping the two-child benefit limit lifts around 450,000 children out of poverty by 2029-30, rising to over 550,000 when combined with other measures in the child poverty strategy. 'Half a million' is a reasonable rounding, so the core claim holds.

We invested 200 million in Octric semiconductors in his constituency last year.
In 2025 the MoD announced up to £200 million of investment in Octric Semiconductors, the Newton Aycliffe (County Durham) compound-semiconductor fab nationalised in 2024, as part of a 10-year programme. The £200m figure matches, though it is a defence/MoD investment rather than a generic government one.

We're investing a record 3.5 billion in homelessness services and 950 million in local authority housing fund to deliver better quality temporary accommodation.
The government's National Plan to End Homelessness (December 2025) commits £3.5 billion to homelessness and rough-sleeping services over three years and £950 million via the fourth round of the Local Authority Housing Fund to increase good-quality temporary accommodation. Both figures match.

This is a man [Peter Mandelson] who had been sacked from cabinet twice already for unethical behaviour.
Mandelson did leave the Cabinet twice under ethics clouds — December 1998 (undeclared home loan from Geoffrey Robinson) and January 2001 (the Hinduja passport affair). However, on both occasions he formally resigned rather than being 'sacked', so the count is correct but the wording is imprecise.
